Fraser Island is home to some of the most beautiful rain forests in the world.
Central Station is in the heart of the rainforest and was once the centre of the forestry industry when there was logging on K'gari from 1863-1991. Today it is a picnic area and information centre explaining the development of K'gari and the various flora and fauna which thrive in this paradise. A scenic boardwalk winds you through the rainforest and along the banks of Woongoolba Creek. It is a lovely serene and tranquil rainforest and a very popular destination. |
